I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - Toyota has basically become the modern version of 90's Pontiac when it comes forcing “sporty” and “exciting” on things that really aren’t.

They could have done so much more with Scion while leaving Toyota to be the snoozefest. Scion could have truly been an “experimental” brand, or maybe ride on the hype of a “direct from Japan” kind of deal, or straight up made some sporty Camry knockoffs to throw at it to keep it alive.

The real irony is it would be ever so slightly faster had they kept it a single pipe and outlet, instead of adding a bunch of useless weight. At least it's reliable, I guess.

I've never seen that perspective and damn it does make sense. It is even following the Pontiac G6 GXP formula to make an abnormal, horrendous front end.

About 5 years ago there was a lady who I always saw picking up her kid at daycare in one. To make things even worse she  had added a bunch of chromed fake vents.   I cringed each time I saw it.
